Week 3

This week in TOG we will be reviewing Islam and the impact that it had during the Middle Ages. History:

Literature:


Church History:

Dictation: We used selections from the story of King Arthur for this week.

Writing: This week our writing assignment was a report about Islam.
Timeline: This week we added Muhammad to our timeline.

Geography: This week our map focuses on the Islamic Empire

Notebook pages: This week we made a mini-book about Islam and we looked at the geometric art of the time.

Project: This week we did this tessellation project. I'll post pictures later.




Art: We checked out the Islamic art hereand took a virtual tour of the Taj Mahal here

    The tessellation project looks very interesting. It is not what I thought it was. I look forward to seeing your finished project.
    I just taught a lesson about India to my two youngest 2 weeks ago and they were fascinated with the Taj Mahal.
